Ushuaia Arrival - 5:30pm

After a stunning flight south from Santiago, our team arrived in Ushuaia in the early evening. The views from the plane as we approached and finally landed in Ushuaia were incredible. Upon arriving, the Team boarded the buses up to the hotel, checked in, had a delicious dinner and then assembled for the first official briefing of the Expedition. Despite the fatigue - good karma and high energy pervaded the group! At 10:00 p.m. the Team disbanded and hit their beds for some well-deserved sleep!

Tomorrow will be our first full day in Ushuaia - and will do some hiking, exploring the town, briefings and educational workshops! The expedition is officially underway!

12:20pm Update - Santiago, Chile, en route to Ushuaia, Argentina!
Our team's brief stop-over in Santiago has ended and the team boarded its LAN Chile flight a short while ago and are in the air, en route to the southern-most city in the world: Ushuaia!

Santiago, Chile

8:20am Update - Santiago, Chile, en route to Ushuaia, Argentina!

Good morning and welcome to South America! Our team's flight arrived on time from Miami at 7:55 a.m. this morning. Our students will be tired from all the flights and airports from the past 24 hours, but as they get closer and closer to their destination, and more and more students and staff join the group - they will become more excited than you can possibly imagine!

Santiago, Chile, is one of our favourite cities in the world! Nestled alongside the Andes, this modern and cosmopolitan city is the capital of Chile, and has over 5 million residents. However, as our destination is Antarctica, we have no time to linger, no matter how wonderful the city! And so we will be boarding yet another plane at 11 a.m.

Five hours later, our team will arrive in Ushuaia - the southern-most city in the world!
